Website design and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) are two of the most important first steps you take towards developing a successful business. Launching a business with a poor website and limited SEO, is like building a house with the incorrect groundwork; it is likely that your business won’t be as successful as you hoped. Website development and SEO go hand-in-hand, especially in new businesses as there are many aspects of a website that are modified to achieve better SEO.
There are many ways you can easily develop your own website and work on your own SEO, but due to the complexity of the algorithms and processes involved, if you are unaware of exactly what to do you could be hindering the success of your business, and taking your attention away from working on the aspects of the business that you love.
There are many reasons why investing in an experienced Website design and SEO company, like WebsiteFix, has the potential to make your business thrive. Here are the top 5.
- Increase in Organic Results
Initially, SEO is described as optimising your website so that it is found when certain relevant keywords are searched for on Google. Google’s algorithm is constantly changing, so it is important to seek the advice of SEO advisors who are up-to-date with the changes that are happening. SEO experts understand how to conduct effective keyword research to find out the most popular terms that are searched for in your industry, and help your business appear on the first page of Google.
It is crucial to understand just how important being on the first page of Google is. Studies have shown that 75% of people never scroll past the first page of search engines. Appearing on the first page of Google automatically give the business a good reputation in the eyes of the consumer.
- SEO Provides Quality Traffic
As mentioned above, appearing on the first page of Google for your relevant keywords is very important. People who view your results on this page are actively seeking the service or product that you offer. While it may be true that other forms of marketing can be highly successful in gaining new customers for your business, like word-of-mouth marketing or social media, SEO is one of the best ways to appeal to new customers. Investing in SEO can lead to an increase in leads.
Investing in the work of an experienced Website design and SEO company is actual a highly affordable way of achieving a mass amount of traffic to your business. Businesses listed on the first page of results on Google tend to have more traffic and exposure than those who don’t. As per content marketing stats, leads from search engines have a 14.6% close rate; outbound leads (ex. cold-calling, direct marketing like brochures etc.) have a 1.7% close rate. Meaning that you could sit there all day and cold-call customers, which uses your valuable time in a small business where time is money, or you could leave the work to a professional.
- Out-of-hours Promotion
If you choose the cold-calling and direct marketing road of advertising your customer reach will be restricted to when you work. The beauty of the internet is that it never sleeps, and people are constantly searching for solutions to problems in their lives. This means with the correct SEO you have the ability to reach customer on a 24/7 basis.
Imagine arriving into work with an inbox full of leads generated from people who saw your website on Google.
Google is more complex than most people would think; it operates based on algorithms that the users do not see, and the algorithms are constantly changing. To really understand what you are doing when it comes to SEO, you would need to invest hours in learning and adapting as the times change. By outsourcing the finer details of Website development and SEO to a professional, you are saving yourself money, time, and stress.
